This was the first book I ever read in the genre- Mythological fiction. At first I was hesitant to start because Mythology books never excites me like how Mystery and YA novels do. But I was highly inspired by @mostlysane . The way she described the book made me eager to read it. And it was the best decision I made.
The book was absolutely how I have had heard about it. This was one of those books which made me restless until I finished the book. It’s an absolute masterpiece. I know there have also been very critical comments on this books. But this book was a great one for me.
This series has 3 books in it :
First is The Immortals of Meluha, second is The Secret of the Nagas and the third one is The Oath of the Vayuputras.
I never had such a huge crush on a fiction character. The part where Amish describes about Shiva dancing was beautiful which eventually got me crazy. And you know its a great book when you can see the story as though its happening right in front of you. This book is beautifully written and as you are on the verge of finishing this book, the end puts you into this suspense and restlessness as to what the second book holds. This book makes you helpless and puts you into a hype to read the next book to solve the mystery and that’s what exactly happened with me .
I’m so glad to have read this book. As a child I always thought if the ones we worship were normal humans like us how would their life be? And the author has got my imagination in this book.

This is second book in the series- Shiva trilogy, the first being Immortals of Meluha . When I finished the first book in the series I was restless as the book leaves you at a mystery to be solved ahead. I was very impatient and wanted to read the second book as soon as possible.

And the eagerness was worth it. OH MY GOD! I don’t know if I have loved mythology or for that matter fiction so much . The plot was amazing. The twists got me hooked till the end The revelation at the midway just blew my mind. The astonishing connection between the Sati & the Nagas evoked the feeling of shock, sympathy, grieve all emotions at once .
There were a lot of twists in the plot, which I could not predict at any point.
I loved this book so much . Even though Immortals of Meluha was a 5 star read for me I would prioritize The Secret of Nagas over the first book.

This is third book in the series — Shiva Trilogy. Again this book was such a good read. The Author did blend his fiction with mythology well. The description about the action sequences was precise and one could imagine it. This book did make me cry. I stopped reading it for a while just to prepare myself for the outcome. It had an impact on me .

But after reading the second book I expected so much more. Though it wasn’t up to the benchmark I thought it would be ,but it still managed to engage me till the very end.

The discussions between Lord Gopal and Shiva were simple yet held a lot of meaning. Most part of this novel dealt with the strategies by Shiva and the furious battles with the enemies/evil .
